About my classes

My classroom is always fun, relaxed, and engaging.   My passion for teaching began when I was a student of a foreign language. My instructor was kind and fun and the class was full of interactive and exciting activities. My teacher gave me the confidence I needed to push past my fears and truly succeed.  I will never forget my teacher or that class. 

My goal is to give that experience to every child who sees me on their screen - a happy, fun, class where they feel at ease. Far from being an enemy, I believe laughter is essential to educational success.

Children learn when they are happy. They learn when they are comfortable. They learn when they WANT to be in class. I want every student to leave my class smiling, grasping their new-found knowledge. That is the key to unlocking their potential.  

As someone who has learned another language, I understand the advantage to using a learning style that works well for each individual and I apply this to each of my students. I am very energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable in my classes. By adapting the lesson content to suit each child's individual needs, I create a comfortable and fun atmosphere that motivates even the most apprehensive child to learn and speak. I work diligently to keep my classes engaging and I have had great success teaching children who struggle to focus or who are very young and have difficulty learning online. I am continuously researching and practicing ESL teaching methods to improve the learning experience of my students. 

I am dedicated to my student's success.  My hope is that every single one of my students will have a brighter future, empowered by the ability to speak English.
